Racing Rules

At Modesto RC Raceway we  do our best to run a smooth fun racing program.  As a racer we ask that you read through the rules to help make our program run smooth and fun.

Turn Marshaling

There's no other way around it.  A smooth race program heavily relies on everyone doing their part as a racer and marshaling after you have raced your car.

After your race quickly put your car down and get to a marshall spot.  If you have to race back to back, it is the RACER's responsibility to find a replacement marshall.  If you need help finding a marshal, please let the race director know and they will do their best to help find a fill-in for you.

Failure to Promptly get out to your marshall spot may result in docked laps.

Sportsmanship

In all classes be sure to be mindful of racing incidents. Whether intentional or not, if you get into someone causing them to wreck, please be sure to wait for them so they can regain their position in front of you.

Additionally, we understand that sometimes we get competitive. Violence of any kind will not be tolerated, whether It's toward your fellow racer on the stand or a turn marshall.

Rookie Class

While it is not customary to let a rookie race a second class, we believe that more wheel time is crucial to grow as a racer and will allow someone to run a second class while they run in rookie.

If you are a completely new racer, we may want to see how your first race goes before we allow you to run a second class

Additionally, it is the full descression of the race director should they dertermine that you need to be bumped out of the rookie class.
